The EFFORTI Policy Learning Workshop on evaluation of gender equality in R&I took place in Barcelona on 13th November 2018. More than 40 participants from universities, research centres and public institutions from several European countries participated.
After an introductory presentation of the EFFORTI case study methodology and preliminary key findings by Rachel Palmen, theory of change for selected interventions were developed in group discussions.
Experts on gender Equality, diversity managment and public policy discussed the optimal nature of gender equality policies and whether they should be linked to productivity indicators in R&I, to practices which involved the design and implementation of gender equality policies and plans in a number of institutions.
The meeting ended with the exchange of some insights, recommendations and comments on the current development of the EFFORTI project, and the invitation to participate in the final National and International Workshops next year.
